Eats Not Apps

Our local eateries are suffering when we buy through delivery apps.

Delivery apps charge unsustainable fees of 20% to 30% to the restaurants they “partner” with, on top of the service fees and delivery costs we pay as customers. Most of the Canadian food industry has very slim profit margins of only 4% to 6% on average. So why are restaurants paying these outrageous fees? The majority don’t have much of a choice. With already thin margins, many independent restaurants have little choice but to participate.
Eats NOT Apps exists to highlight locally owned restaurants offering their own pick-up, take-out and delivery options.

It’s time we support local and purchase responsibly. Love Local. Love the eats not the apps.
